@niklasteich Thanks. Seems as if Google changed the rules a bit and now we all have wait to catch up to them. Thanks for the links.
Google Structured Data Testing Tool error
Breadcrumb 3
url: missing and required
Just posting here to get an update when this gets resolved.
Thanks!
I did find my problem and fixed it with more than a bit of help from @niklasteich.
The problem I was having was on a “Our Blog” page and I was getting “node empty” warnings as well as missing url messages for the last breadcrumb. The two were related and the missing mode notice triggered the breadcrumb error.
The missing node Google Webmaster Tool warned me about was the featured image displayed on the page as part of the blog excerpt. Using the structured data tool, I labeled this page as an article and identified the image as part of it. That solved the problem.
Really, a lot of nothing to me on Google’s part, but who am I to complain?
I’m going to continue this over on
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/add-url-to-last-breadcrumb?replies=6
because my problem is specifically with
Breadcrumb 3
url: missing and required
@afzalcoder solved my Breadcrumb 2 issue with
http://www.wp-hacks.com/add-url-to-last-breadcrumb/
but Breadcrumb 3 is still putting out errors.
Marked as fixed but i still see this error on my webmaster tools..
Yes marked as fixed but same issue in structured data testing tool, please let me know do i need to completely remove yoast and install new version
Update: i have mentioned Anchor text for the Homepage:<i class=”fa fa-home”></i>, this removing this fixed the error but

I will also open a new post in support section regarding this
For me, the issue is resolved, or at least I know how to fix it.
@davidtleblanc please let me know how you fixed it
Hi noobwp86,
I half-way guessed about what Google was looking for here, and I used the structured data tool in Webmaster Tools (or search console it is now) to fix the problem. In my case, the issue was on the page I set up for a blog and Google did not/could not/would not make sense of the featured image.
There is a process Google will lead you through if you use the structured data tool, although I can’t say it was all that helpful. It did work, so I am calling it a win, but I don’t understand why they made an issue of it in the first place.
It was one of these things when I just had to keep hacking away and eventually I found a solution Google liked or at least accepted and it did stop the message. After it was over, the whole experience left me with a feeling of “so what?”
Hi David,
I’m glad to hear you got it working, although I completely agree that Google’s process is far less than intuitive.
Thank you for following up and sharing with others what you did so you can at least give them some hope of getting it working.
