URL fragment carried on REGEX redirect

Hi,
Hoping I can get some help
I’m using SRM with a regex to catch a pattern like
/directory/page/10
^/directory/page(/.*)?
and redirect to /new/
But I’m getting the 10 carried in the redirect
/new/10
How can I get rid of it (pipe crashes wordpress)
Any clues would be really appreciated
