[resolved] URL for the archive of locations (7 posts)

Under the 'WordPress Location Archives' setting it says:

Location custom post types can have archives, just like normal WordPress posts. If enabled, should you visit your base slug url http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/events/ and you will see an post-formatted archive of previous locations

Is that the correct URL? It is the same URL given elsewhere for the events archive and it doesn't list the locations.

Also, what does the word 'previous' mean in the context of locations?

Where are you displaying your WP site at http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/ or http://beat-magazine.co.uk/ ?

At present the site is not fully published hence the base URL is http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/

Ok, in that case you should be seeing the Events page at http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/events/ - if you're not seeing the correct information, it could be that a setting isn't correct somewhere.

Which page do you have set to display as the Events page under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives ?

I think you miss-interpreted my question. The events archive link is working at http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/events/

My question is why 'Location archive' link is shown the same as the event archive link in the settings page? I copied the italic text in my initial question from the location section, not the events section. Surely, location archive and the event archive cannot be the same.

hmm, I think I know what you mean and will let Marcus know about this; however you can try http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/locations

Yes, http://beat-magazine.co.uk/wp/locations lists the location archive, thank you.

It seems there had been a copy and paste mistake done on the explanation on the page for the location, hence it is exactly the same as events.
