# URL changed after update

    After I updated to the newest version of WP, the ending of my sites URL changed
   automatically. Before it was just copenhagencakeshop.com but now it is [http://copenhagencakeshop.com/?v=e188c64996bd](http://copenhagencakeshop.com/?v=e188c64996bd).
   It is the same all over the website with the new URL-ending.
 * How can I change this back?
 * I hope it makes sense. Thanks in advance!

 * To change the site URL you should go to wp-config.php file. And there you should
   do the following:
 *     ```
       define('WP_HOME','http://example.com');
       define('WP_SITEURL','http://example.com');
       ```
   
 * But, there is one thing, it is told by WordPress that:
 * > You won’t be able to edit them on the General settings page anymore when using
   > this method.

 * Thanks for the help.
    Unfortunately the problem persists. The URL in the general
   settings were already set to [http://copenhagencakeshop.com](http://copenhagencakeshop.com)
   and after I insert the code text as per your instructions there’s still no change
   in the site URL… And yes I did remember to change [http://example.com](http://example.com)
   with [http://copenhagencakeshop.com](http://copenhagencakeshop.com) 😀
 * I really hope theres a way to fix it! :/
