URL change advice

We have a developer who has been creating a site in a test environment (sandbox.ourdomain.com) and we are getting close to releasing it in production (www.ourdomain.com) (not our real domain name…) We are planning on just changing the URLs and following the procedures laid out in theis codex article: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

Before we proceed, I was wondering if anyone had any extra advice or caveats that we might want to pay attention to before moving forward. All advice, warnings, and gotchas are appreciated.
