    I recently changed the category URLs on my site The question is, what redirect
   code should I use, 301 or 404? And what’s the difference? Thank you

 * You can use 301. 404 is not a redirect type. It’s an error code which means “
   not found”. 301, on the other hand, is a redirect type. This is the redirect 
   type you would use for permanently deleted or moved pages.
