Our store has been running for a few years with 100k+ orders, and suddenly a few hours ago all orders started to come in completely blank!

The item quantity is there, but total is $0.00 and there is NO customer name, email, shipping or billing info. 50-70 orders were placed before we noticed, so those 50+ orders are useless duds are considered lost, but where do we go from here…Anyone have this happen?

    TLDR;
    – Orders are blank, no customer data
    – We didn’t make any changes to the site in any way to cause this to happen
    – Manually creating orders results in the same thing – $0, no customer info saved
    – Can’t find the problem or how to make it work again
    – The site is in maintenance mode, so I can’t share a link, we don’t want any more dud orders

    Please help! Thank you!
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

I am sorry you are getting blank orders!

    Have you ruled out conflict?
A conflict check is always a good first step.
You can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ for this. It allows you to deactivate all plugins and activate a default theme just for your user session.

Everyone else will see your site normally.
Activate the plugin and enter the “troubleshooting mode”: /wp-admin/index.php?page=health-check&tab=troubleshoot. You can then do a test again. Troubleshooting mode also allows you to selectively toggle plugins back on.

The plugin requires a default theme like Twenty Seventeen present to work fully.

**Before you do that, please do make a full backup!**

How does it look in troubleshooting mode?

WooCommerce also attempts to log any fatal errors. You can find these under WooCommerce > Status >> Logs (click on the tab). After clicking on the logs tab examine the dropdown on the right for any “fatal-errors” entry. If there is one, provide its contents here as well. We can try and use them to figure out what is going on.

    Thanks for the reply!

We found the problem…a DB tech said:

“The error was essentially a running out of space error, I’ve only come across that once or twice before, but its easily worked around with db partitions.”

So we are all good now.
