Now that you’ve change the URLs from http://www.cyclingedge.com.au/bikes/ to http://www.cyclingedge.com.au/ you’ll need to move the files from the /bikes/ directory to the root directory (the directory above the /bikes/ directory).

Thank you for the advice, but I don’t know what that means… could you break it down into steps for me??

Is there a way to change the URL back so I don’t have to do that?

Access your server via FTP or SFTP and move the files from the /bikes/ directory up one directory (depending on your server configuration, this could be /public_html/, /public/, /html/, /www/, /web/, etc).

You’ll have to access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel) and manually change the siteurl and home values to http://www.cyclingedge.com.au/bikes

If you want to properly move your blog after you’ve complete this step, just follow this guide:

Thank you so much for being so patient!
I can’t get into wordpress at all… how do I get to phpMyAdmin?

phpMyAdmin will be available via your hosting provider’s control panel (if they offer it).

Would that be something like NetRegistry?

I don’t know. cPanel and Plesk are popular hosting provider control panels, but some have their own custom systems. You should probably contact your hosting provider.
