After adding the paypal button, the email address has been found in plain text with Woorank tool.

In addition, by inspecting the page, actually the email address is entirely visible!

    <div class=”paypal-donations”> <input type=”hidden” name=”cmd” value=”_donations”> <input type=”hidden” name=”bn” value=”TipsandTricks_SP”> <input type=”hidden” name=”business” value=”EMAIL.ADDRESS@GMAIL.COM”> <input type=”hidden” name=”return” value=”DOMAINURL”> <input type=”hidden” name=”item_name” value=”

I’ve also got a message in the upper WordPress black bar saying that 1 email address is not protected.

Hi, that is how the plugin works. Do you want to hide the email in the source code?

    Thank you

That is how a standard HTML paypal donation button works. Nothing wrong with it. It needs to be that way for the PayPal button to work correctly.

Maybe you can try a different plugin.

This is wrong. You do not need to expose an email address in plain text.

You can see that here: https://www.lunarsoft.net/donate
