Urgent: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘pay’)

I keep getting the errors: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘pay’)

On iphone I get another, weird error that’s similar. When debugging by disabling all plugins, this plugin seems to be responsible.

Please add any product and check the errors on the cart and checkout pages.

After deactivating each payment option, it is Google Pay that’s causing the issue.

I see same problem in my sites. Problem comes from Google pay. I turn off this payment method and error stop shosing

This isn’t a bug caused by our plugin. It appears Google Pay introduced a bug in their GPay JS SDK.

We’ve reported it to them but at this time there isn’t anything we can do to resolve that error since it’s coming from their JS SDK.

Update: it appears the issue is related to the button style that’s interpreted in the pay.js script. If the option is changed to the “buy” button style, the issue is resolved.

We’ve alerted the GPay team to this issue.

Update: Adding screenshots for recording keeping showing the GPay button hosted on developers.google.com is not working.

Any buttonStyle option other than “buy” triggers a Javascript error.

Google has resolved the issue.
