    Hi train and theo

@saveatrain What you linked to would be the post type archive page. That is something generated by WordPress for all custom post types, but not something that’s intended to be linked to in our plugin. For a list of FAQs, you should be using a shortcode or block. You should not be linking directly to the post type archive page if you want all of the features, functionality and styling of our plugin. That only comes from the shortcode/block.

That being said, this post type archive page should still at least list all of the posts that exist. Because it’s not, I’m thinking that you might just need to flush your permalinks, something that is often necessary when new custom post types are registered in WordPress or changes are made to custom post types. To do this:

    – In the main menu, go to “Settings > Permalinks”.
    – Scroll down, if needed, and click “Save Changes”. No need to actually make any changes.
    – Rewrite rules and permalinks have now been flushed.

@theogrx Your site is password protected. Nevertheless, if indeed, as you mentioned, you “have the same problem,” then please flush your permalinks as described above, to see if that helps. If it’s not the same problem, then please start a new thread and describe your exact problem.

For WPML, you’ll need to provide more details about what isn’t working with it (i.e. it’s not translating, not using translations, not linking posts, something else, etc.).

what you say makes no sense,
    it worked perfectly in 2.0.2

i can install wp rollback and show you that it worked, otherwise i would have complained about thi earlier

I understand that this only started for you in 2.0.3. Nevertheless, did you flush the permalinks? There were necessary changes made to the permalink structure in the last few updates, so this could be related to the issue you’re facing.

I ask about this because the post type archive page is definitely working in version 2.0.3. Our demo page is running 2.0.3 and this is the ufaq post type archive page: https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/ultimate-faq-demo/customer-questions/ (it’s using a custom slug base [customer-questions instead of ufaqs]).

i cant flush my links only because 1 plugin started having a problem in a new version

i have 66 plugins to worry on my wordpress, and if i make the change because of your request it might ruin things to other things on my site

we both ask you to validate on your end the problem, as it exists in 2.0.3 BUT NOT IN 2.0.2

We just released an update (version 2.0.4) that corrects an issue in which filtered FAQ content was being displayed on archive pages. This may have been contributing to the issue you were experiencing, so please make sure to update.

And, just for future reference, flushing your permalinks should not change or ruin anything on your site, as you would not be making any changes, just re-saving them. This is a very common thing in WordPress. You can see more info about it here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-posts-returning-404-error/

You may indeed still need to flush your permalinks.

@theogrx The search shortcode is a premium feature, so will not display in the free version. If you are using the premium version and having trouble with the search feature, then please contact us by email or via our website (https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/support-center/), as discussion of the premium version is prohibited in these forums (https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products).

    Thank you
