Hi,

I am using TranslatePress to translate my website from English to Arabic, it was working fine but then it showed the translated words as ØªØ³Ø¬ÙŠÙ„ Ø§Ù„Ø¯Ø®ÙˆÙ„ although it is written in Arabic in the translation box.

What would be the reason and how to fix it?

Hello,

Can you please check to see if the database colation is correct and supports Arabic
https://codex.wordpress.org/Converting_Database_Character_Sets

That’s the first step is determining if your database can support arabic texts. It should be utf8 on all wp_trp_* tables in the database.

Thank you for your reply.

I’ve checked them all, it is all working fine. I’ve just concluded that the issue is with the theme that I am using.
