    Can a decimal point be used in with weight field? These products are often very light and small so our client has put in weights like this .3 or 1.4, etc. The system is set for lbs. The UPS rates are returning much higher than they should be.

    Hello @indigokj,

    Yes, the weight in the decimal works as well.

    If you want to know what affects the UPS rates, please read our article.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for this information. In the article it shows a field for “destination address type”. This field is not in my version, but it does have a checkbox for “Enable residential address flag”. Does this mean it will return calculated rates reflecting a residental address?

    @indigokj,

    The recipient’s address is validated by UPS. Residential delivery is defined as delivery to a location that is a home, including a business operating out of a home.

    Choosing the right default option here will prevent the incorrect calculation from happening in case of unsuccessful validation

    Best regards,
    Marta

    Just for clarification, does checking the box for “Enable residential address flag” make all orders charged as residental even if they are a business?

    Nevermind we got an answer on this.
