Hi
Can anyone tell me how to upload my own theme on to the blog, and use my own Key Visual pictures.

You do it the same way you upload any other theme. Use your FTP to upload the theme into your wp-content/themes directory, then when you login to your wordpress, go to the Presentation tab at the top of the page and select your theme.
