# uploading theme

 * I have followed the info in appearence to upload a zip file theme template that
   I have on my computer
 * first choose ok but when I press upload I get the following error
 * Unable to create directory /srv/www/htdocs/web29/html/geoff-x.com/wp/wp-content/
   uploads/2009/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
 * I have asked my provider wether its got anything to do with the server side and
   he said no it should be found within the wordpress documentation
 * would any one be so kind to show me where ? as I have looked around without joy
 * thanks in advance

 * Installing theme: Picture Perfect 1.1
 * Downloading install package from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/picture-perfect.1.1.zip](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/picture-perfect.1.1.zip).
 * Download failed. Could not create Temporary file

 * I tried now to load another theme directly from the wordpress area / apperence/
   add themes
 * this is what happens:
    —————————————————————— Installing theme: Suffusion 2.6.3
 * Downloading install package from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/suffusion.2.6.3.zip](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/suffusion.2.6.3.zip).
 * Download failed. Could not create Temporary file

   would be great if someone could inform why this is happening and how to fix it
