Uploading product Images – advice needed

for images WordPress/woocommerce organises Uploaded files into Year / Month i.e. ../wp-content/uploads/2015/08

Since new products will be added from time to time this will end up with lots of folders.

would it be better to say have a simple structure like
../wp-content/uploads/images – for non product images such as logos
../wp-content/uploads/prodimages – for images relating to products

any disadvantage doing it this way ?
