Has anyone worked with a large library of documents for a WordPress-based CMS or Intranet?
I'm creating an intranet at my office that has a 1GB library of pdf forms and MS Office docs. I'm deciding how to integrate this with the project. It would seem that simply mounting the existing library would be the most efficient way to use these docs with the new intranet design, but going through and uploading all of them in bundles would have the advantage of wordpress "knowing" about them.
That seems like a long and tedious process, but I would like to be able to integrate the pdf's into the site for things like download tracking, editing meta-data to enhance searches, etc.
Curious to hear any thoughts on this.
