I am attempting to upload my website to the net again. I have been dealing with my hosting agent to resolve this problem. There have been problems with the config file which have been resolved but now this ‘code’ problem as stated below by my hosting agent is halting progress. Please can you assist me to resolve this problem.

I have corrected the wp-config.php file and the database is now connecting, the problem is that it’s redirecting to the installation page :
    http://www.curo.ie/wp-admin/install.php

I have checked the logs and the error is:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare display_header() (previously declared in /home/curoie1/public_html/wp-admin/install.php:58) in /home/curoie1/public_html/wp-content/install.php on line 83

Pease note that this is code issue and is out of our support scope. I will recommend you to contact wordpress support

  • Hello brian1209, & welcome. You’re actually receiving an internal server error. Also, wp-content does not generally contain an instal.php file. The error seems to indicate there is 1, however, suggesting that WordPress has been installed incorrectly. Perhaps removing & reinstalling will fix the problem.

Would someone please advise how I contact wordpress directly to resolve this matter?

brian1209, WordPress is a program offered to help folks build their websites. As such, it does not resolve these problems directly. Instead, they use community volunteers via this forum to help people, if possible. If not, then folks need to go to their hosting company or post a job to jobs.wordpress.net. & this particular volunteer is in fulltime caregiver mode at this juncture. Have you completely deleted your old WordPress installation & then reinstalled? Also, have you opened your wp-config.php file, checked your table prefix, & ensured that it matches up w/the tables your database is using? You can look at that via PhpMyAdmin.
