I moved this request to here because it wasnt getting any results over in "hacks" I posted it over 6 hours ago.(you can delete the one over in hacks).

If you dont understand it please ask... thank you

I got podPress, an awesome plugin, but when i use the WordPress upload option seems like any file over, say, 5 MB will time out, the error message says, "This script was not meant to be called directly."

I have several Radio Host that need to upload their shows/podcast for on-demand listening after its streamed on the radio.

Is there a way i can chnage a setting for uploads so they can upload theirs mp3s?

I am an admin and i even cant upload large files? I would rather not give any one direct access to the FTP.

Anything over 2MB is usually a restriction set by the host. Check with them.

You could give them FTP access to a single folder named after themselves and then you move the files to where they are needed?

Thanks podz ..so there's no limit set in WordPress?

Also do you mean move them manually?

WP sets no limits so long as you set the limit in the Options.

Move them manually is just drag/drop.
Create a new ftp user in cpanel - it will auto-assign them access - so user Podz would get access to only /podz
then just drag them up a level and along to where they are needed.

thats something that i dont see anymore in "options" ..i know there use to be a file upload limit option ..but i looked all over the wordpress admin cp ..and dont see it in 2.0.1

suppose i will have to do the FTP thing, i could just give them the path seeing as i already have the file anyway - just no reason for me to upload before this, that is if there isnt an alternative...

still waiting for answer back from powweb, i think they are going to dogs since endurance bought them out..

    Thanks again Podz.
