Support » Fixing WordPress » Uploading images into multiple folders

I am experimenting with a new magazine style theme (Morning After). It looks great but I plan on having multiple authors for the blog who are not particularly web savvy. The theme has small square images that are called using custom fields in the recent and featured posts sections. Each of these images are saved into different folders ie. /featured, /thumbs, etc… I want to be able to upload these images without going into my ftp program every time and dragging each image into each specific folder every time I make a post. Is there a plugin or some workaround that will let you choose which folder your image uploads to?

  • I probably didn’t explain myself well enough. I wanted to add that I am not looking to add images to multiple folders simultaneously, but merely the ability to select which folder to upload into on the fly. The default image uploader only allows you to upload into the default image folder; and using an FTP program may prove too complicated for my partners.
I hope that helps. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to be rather invisible in the forums lately. Can’t complain though, it’s free support for a a free product. I guess I’ll just use fire ftp or something so you at least can stay in the browser when you ftp while writing articles.
