Hi @persoonlijkvaardiger
Thanks for using PublishPress Capabilities.
Giving the upload files and unfiltered upload capabilities should fix your issue.
If it’s not, then it might affected by other plugins. Can you please inform me all lists of your plugins?
Thanks,
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, please reply again here, or you can start a new thread.
Thanks,
Hi, sorry for my absence. It is not resolved yet. I try to give the (filtered) upload abilities, bu they keep turning green. This is the list of my plugins:
Complianz
Elementor Pro
Loco translate + Automatic translate addon
Open User map Premium
Publish Press Capabilities
Really Simple SSL
Simple Page Acces Restriction
WP File Manager
WP login and logout Redirect
WPvivid Backup plugin
@persoonlijkvaardiger It sounds like you are currently starting with a low-capability user role and adding Capabilities to enable additional access.
This is usually a good strategy – easy to understand and safely defaults to no extra access if Permissions is temporarily disabled.
However, in cases like this where a third party plugin is checking for certain role capabilities, it may be necessary to use the opposite configuration strategy: start with a high-capability role and use Capabilities to limit the application of those capabilities.
So the exact steps will looks as follow:
- Check which user can upload file
- Copy the role
- Start revoking the capabilities that does not needed for that role
By doing that, you should be able to have the proper role as per your need.
Thanks,
That sounds like a wise plan. I just checked with my admin role, and I can perform the action. So it’s not the action itself 😉
Thanks, I think this will work. I’ll try this!
@persoonlijkvaardiger Sure thing. Good luck!
