 * I’m getting this error when I try to upload a picture to the server,
 * Unable to create directory ~/uploads/2006/10. Is its parent directory writable
   by the server?

 * The answer is in the error message displayed: the parent directory (in this case
   what you cut off: wp-content) doesn’t have the right permissions: 777.
