• I’m new to WordPress and am stumbling my way around all of the widgets, plugs-ins, media files etc. While I was stumbling I noticed an option in this theme that would allow me to upload my own logo. The problem is I have no idea how to do that. I saved my logo as “logo.png” as instructed, but how to get the logo from my hard drive to the Image Directory is a mystery to me.

I tried right clicking on the file and highlighting Send To, but there was no option to send it to a website directory. Is there an “upload” option in WordPress that will allow me to save the file in the theme directory?

Thanks for being patient with a newbie 🙂

Unfortunately, there is no Header option under Appearance, but there is ‘lonelytree Theme Options’ under Appearance and this is where it says, “Upload your logo as ‘logo.png’ in the theme directory: http://myurl.com/wp-content/themes/lonelytree/images/.
You should export the logo image with transparency enabled. Logo should be 250 x 84″ But, I have no idea how to do that. (I didn’t include my actual url above because I’m paranoid of possible hacking.)

    Thanks for your help.

You need to FTP into your site or use whatever file management application your host provides.

Oh… great… I think I’ll just stick with the current blocky Site Title. Thanks anyway 🙂
