Uploading and editing a index.html file

    Hi,

    I had a website designed with pictures.

    I want to be able to upload the index.html file and edit the website on WordPress.

    Is this possible? If so, what would the steps be?

    No 🙂 you can copy past to create new pages as required..

    To convert your html to wp page, you need to create a custom page.
    After you can link that page anywhere, it also possible to make that page as index page.

    WordPress is not a place to upload HTML files.

    A static HTML site sends pre-written HTML pages to the browser and the browser shows them as is.

    WordPress is a PHP based software package that displays content from a database into template files created in the theme.

    You can paste your HTML code into a WordPress page and edit it in WordPress. You will need a theme to display the HTML they way you want it to look.
