uploading and dashboard access problem

the problem is i had created another website using wordpress. and in the settings tab i’d changed the URL to my actual web address(eg: http://www.something.com) from localhost apache on linux platform. now when i try to upload it via filezilla it is not able to upload to the remote server neither it is able to log in to the dashboard. kindly help me out so that i can upload it ASAP.
and ya its not the blog prateekster.blogspot.com. this website that i need help with hasn’t been uploaded.
