Uploading a new logo to Blix theme

  • Modifying blix is not really for “non-technical newbies”. It’s one of the ugliest things – when it comes about working with it. Try something simpler until you get more familiar with WP and the theme system.

Can you tell me how to place a logo on blix? I’ll give it a shot, or get someone else to do it. Thanks.

Do I replace the whole rectangular image? /www/wp-content/themes/Blix/images/spring_flavour/header_bg.jpg

If so, what is the image pixel size?

I sure don’t know off the top of my head, but if you have an image editor, you could open up that file in the editor and have a look. Any editor worth it’s salt will tell you the dimensions of the image. 🙂

Yeah, I have Fireworks, and I can upload using CuteFTP. But, I’m still wondering which file I replace.
    Is it: wp-content/themes/Blix/images/spring_flavour/header_bg.jpg

    Got me. I don’t use it. 🙂

Using fireworks to get the size of an image is probably a lot like swatting a fly with a buick. (overkill). Maybe have a look at something light and free and very useful like Paint.Net.

If you’re using a relatively modern browser just go to your site and right click on the image you’re wondering about. On the right click menu you’ll have an option to view image or save image or something along those lines. By experimenting, you’ll quickly see what the actual image file name is.

The dimension is: Width: 705px, Height: 115px
Is my assumption correct to replace: wp-content/themes/Blix/images/spring_flavour/header_bg.jpg

Is wp-content/themes/Blix/images/spring_flavour/header_bg.jpg displaying what you wish to replace?

If so, then yes — I’d replace it with an image of the same dimensions.
