Not yet, but soon! That functionality is coming to File Away. You’ll be ble to upload files from the front-end of the site.

    Hi!

I have another problem with your plugin. It’s the latest version 1.7.6.
The shortcode button on the TinyMCE Panel, has gone. It’s not visible. Did I forgot to ‘aprove’ something, or is your mistake?

No it’s a WordPress bug. It’s mentioned in the FAQ here. You’ll need to download and install the plugin manually and the button should come back. Some weird thing happens sometimes when using the WordPress plugin update engine.

    OK, I’ll try. Thank you.

    Hi!

I have unziped the latest version of your plugin and copied (overwritten) the files in directory file-away, but the shortcode button is not on the TinyMCE Panel. Do you have any idea why?

Give me a few minutes on this. BRB.

With apologies for the inconvenience, please try it again for me one more time. What happens is, sometimes when WordPress downloads the the plugin from their svn to your directory, it adds spaces between the lines of the files, which can create javascript errors. I don’t always catch this when I’m uploading new versions, and I missed it this time. I’ve reuploaded this version, having removed all those spaces in each file. Apologies again for the inconvenience.

The button is back. Thank you for your support. I hope you’ll solve the dashboard document uploading soon.

Like I said, it’ll be front-end uploading, with restricted access level of your choosing. I’ve already got the basic functionality worked out, but it will take some time to implement all the necessary security features and other options. Right now I am buried in a development project for a paying client, so this is on hold for the time being. Thanks for your patience and interest.

Front-end uploading is now a feature of File Away, as of version 2.0.

Button not showing for me… I deleted the file-away folder after deactivating I then uploaded the current version 3.7 file-away folder to the plugins folder and activated it and still nothing.
I have deactivated TinyMCE Advanced and activated but not button.
looking for 1 shortcode to display only folders and 1 to display files… client wants to display files in a folder then folders.

    Root Folder
    File1
    File2
    File3
    Folder1
    Folder2

Click on the toolbar toggle on the TinyMCE panel, or change the button location in File Away settings to the first row.

Did that…didn’t work, then selected 2nd row but still nothing…
