 * I too have been having problems uploading. In my case I was able to upload pictures
using the browser uploader, but when I try to upload a video it doesn’t show
up in the media browser. I had to use the browser uploader because the flash
uploader didn’t work at all. But this was to be expected since I am using Ubuntu
   9.04 64bit and the Flash 10 plug-in won’t install on the 64bit system. Question:
can’t I just ftp the video to the proper place, and where is that?

 * It’s possible that the video file size may exceed the maximum upload size defined
   by default in php.ini.

 * ‘Yep. You sure can. The most efficient route, may be to just create a new directory
in your WordPress installation named “video” (or whatever you want it to be named),
and then upload your videos to that directory via ftp client. Just make sure
your embed path points to that folder when you post an uploaded video. I do that
with my .flv’s and my .mp3’s, and it seems to work just fine.

 * jbrown75n – If you need to do things with flash support setup WINE and install
IE or Firefox for Windows plus Flash. Most of my computers are Linux and that
is what I have on all of them. You can also try installing IEs4Linux which bypasses
the WINE install and flassh is part of the package.
 * I agree with Clayton. FTP’ing the way he gave is much easier. Especially if you
have a large number. The Uploader is just complicating it but is excellent for
most people who tend not to use ftp.
