Uploader not working (not outlined in sticky topic)

    Hi guys,

    I looked around before posting to see if I could find the answer myself, but have had no luck.

    My problem is, I’m not able to upload images to my wordpress. What is happening is, the image will crunch but NOTHING is uploaded. The directory isn’t created, the thumbnails aren’t produced and the original file is not uploaded. However, if I click to alter the image, there is a thumbnail available (inspecting this image reveals that it is an internal image that is created for interface preview only).

    I have reinstalled my wordpress fresh and still have had no luck. I have other blogs on my server running wordpress and they upload no problem.

    I’ve tried disabling all my plugins, and still nothing.

    All of my wp-content is 755 permission.

    Additionally, I’m running comicpress on my wordpress, and the uploads for the comics work just fine. It’s only wordpresses uploader that isn’t working.

    I don’t get what the problem is?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you sure that the images that you are trying to upload are suitable for web use (ie RGB jpg, gif, or png files)?

    Ok I just found out what the problem was. The setting in miscellaneous had the wrong address.

    Sorry to be annoying. I have been racking my brain trying to work this out.

    Hey there.. Im having the same problem! my jpegs won’t upload.. can you tell me what you did to get them into wordpress? thanks! where is this miscellaneous setting? thanks so much.

    oops.. i just figured it out. .THANKS. . my miscellaneous setttings were incorrect too. thanks unseendark for the help!
