Uploaded, ran install PHP and now a blank browser window

    After putting in the (triple checked) SQL database information, I uploaded all the files in the wordpress folder to my server.

    I then brought up the readme.html file through my browser, clicked the link for /wp-admin/install.php and it (apparently) ran. However, I did not receive a confirmation window, log in screen, user/pass, etc. I just have a blank browser window. What did I do wrong?

    Was I supposed to upload the wordpress folder, as opposed to the files? Right now, they are all sitting in the root folder.

    Do you have a way to access your database and check to see if WordPress has populated any data? If nothing comes up on the blog URL then I’m guessing the setup process never actually happened.
