    Hi folks!

I'm a bit of a newbie to WordPress, I didn't create the site that I am maintaining, I have just been tasked to add content to it.

I am trying to insert images onto some of the pages, but they all display as the little blue question mark. I have tried compressing and re-uploading them as smaller files and that didn't solve the problem. I have also tried connecting the site to Filezilla to upload via that, but am having no luck connecting that either.

It is rather frustrating. Does anyone know what is going on?

I am running version 3.9.1 and am on a Macbook OS X 10.8.4

    Thanks!
    Laura

Also, the images display when I select 'edit', but never otherwise!

Was this issue ever resolved because I'm having a similar issue. I uploaded the images using WordPress Uploader, they are visible in the back end when I click "edit" etc. When the post is live it looks like the link is broken? Although when you click on the broken image it takes you to the correct image, so the link is not broken. Some work and some don't even though I uploaded them all at the same time using the same method so that makes no sense to me at all.

@paleoyogamomma & @MollyMahannah: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster's ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

@LauraCroft92: It might help if you posted a link to a page containing some of these "missing" images.
