 * How would you upload a different theme or template to blog that was automatically
   made with Fantastico on Hostgator cpanel?

 * Did Hostgator give you FTP access? The procedure is as described in the link 
   I gave you in your duplicate post.

 * Log in via ftp client, or setup your ftp manager or use file manager in cpanel,
   unzip your new theme per the instructions, upload your new theme to the themes
   folder in your WordPress installation. Done and done.

 * I know how to upload theme using ftp program like cuteftp but confused when using
   cpanel. So I go into file manager and then find public_html and do the same as
   I would with regular ftp program? Sorry, just that cpanel is new to me.

 * I did something similar, I uploaded the theme to the public_html directory, using
   coreftp. Then I logged in to word press and selected the theme i wanted, done!

 * So I followed the instructions to upload a new theme in the wp-theme directory,
   I selected my zip file and clicked upload, but got an error message saying- We
   cannot upload on wordpress and tole me that I should use cpanel or a different
   host!!! Im so confused? What is cpanel? Do I need to use Cpanel? Can I upload
   files in Cpanel and then send it to wordpress? How do i upload a new themes?
