Upload pictures to wpforo forum

Hello,
I am an absolute beginner and …………
also I don’t know if I am right here and also which version wordpress I have.
The Dashboard – Update only shows: Current version: wordpress.org 6.8

On my homepage I have set up a forum wpforo (as admin) and it basically works. But somehow I can’t insert photos etc. in the forum posts:

I wrote a “sample reply” and selected a picture at the bottom in the button: “Attach file” and “Browse”. I had to search on my PC, because access to my wordpress media library is not displayed:
Photo “Forum1”

The image was then also inserted in my post – but not visible as an image, only as a link to click on.
Photo “Forum2”

In a forum, however, the photos should be directly visible – but how does that work? What am I doing wrong?

As admin I have the possibility to work with the wordpress media library.
the other users don’t have that – and that can’t be right.

Would be great if I could get answers (that I can understand please) – thanks.
