Upload not from Media Library

    Hey @karencho777,

    Hope you’re well.

    I am not sure which plugin you refer with saying “WP Automatic”, but if it adds images to Media Library, Smush will optimize them. But if that plugin doesn’t add images to Media Library and only place to uploads folder, you need to run directory smush;

    hello , Smush could not detect any image in uploads folder why?

    Hey @karencho777,

    Hope you’re well.

    I talked that with developers just to be sure about that. Smush, directory smush, is not working on uploads folder because it’s thinking already smush that directory with Bulk Smush.

    But in your case because of it’s not in Media Library it can’t detect. I don’t think putting images that not in media library into uploads is not a good way. But if the only way that your system works, you should use some plugin to add that images into Media Library.
