Upload Media button not working

    the Upload Media button located in the edit post section will not work when clicked. Absolutely nothing happens. tried everyting on the forums. just got a brand new computer in and it still will not work. Mysql was updated by the host recently. would this have anything to do with it. the problem occured around the same time. also the wordpress logo which appears in the upper left corner is x out.

    ok for anyone out there looking over and over for an answer to this like i did.
    I deleted the wp-admin
    and the wp-incldes folders off the server.
    then downloaded a fresh wordpress and uploaded the new wp-admin and wp-includes folder and it fixed every poblem i had.
