That’s really weird… What version of WP are you running? What other plugins are installed? And what theme are you using? Have you tried the old ‘deactivate everything and re-activate one by one” thing to see if it’s definitely my plugin?

I just tested this out myself today, on a clean install of WordPress, running no other plugins, and the twenty twelve theme. It’s putting uploaded images in the correct folder. So I can’t reproduce this (to see if I can correct it) without actually knowing what your setup is.

Hello, yes it is really weird…

I am using WordPress 3.5.1, the theme it is not the cause because i tested with several themes and the same problem, even reinstall wordpress.

When i see the problem was enabling and disabling all the plugins until yours have it.

Maybe it is because i installed the plugin on april? and if you install today and tested all is ok, but next month still uploading to May?

I don’t know what is the process to upload a image, which is the php code to decide the folder…

If you want i can give you access to study the problem, i will contact you trought your blog.

    Thank You

My plugin has nothing to do with the uploads folder – it’s just a custom post type. It is used just like when you write a post or a Page within WordPress – it’s just separated into it’s own area. If you installed the plugin in April, and added an image in April, it will put the image in the “april” uploads folder (ie whatever month it is currently is what folder it will go into)

I’m not sure what you mean by “I don’t know what the process is to upload an image”… but if you want to contact me directly, you can email me at shelly AT brassblogs DOT com.

Okay, I just uploaded a new version. I hope it fixes your issue, because if it doesn’t, I have no idea how to fix it. The issue you’ve got doesn’t even throw out any error messages or anything (even in the logs), and the only place I can produce the weirdness is on your server. SO I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

    Solved!!
    Thanks shelly

Oh sweet – thanks for letting me know!

Would be nice to know how you solved this… I’m working on a custom plugin and this just started happening to me today.

I have a question about the racspace cloudfils cdn plugin that you said you optimized a significant portion of the code. Ever since I downloaded it, I’ve been getting a “connection timed out” message from rackspace.

This is what customer support sent me:

I have nothing to do with rackspace, and CDN isn’t allowed in plugins in the repository. For “optimizing a significant portion of the code”, yes, I cleaned up a lot of the old code that was int he plugins. But I’m not sure what you’re referring to, exactly. Can you clarify?

Wait, are you talking about this plugin:

If so – that’s not my plugin. I have nothing to do with that. You need to go the support board for that plugin to ask your questions.
