Upload folder change

    I have “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” checked from long time now. I have lots of images organized by folders (year/month). Everything works fine.

    I want to un-check “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” just for the matter to simplify all my uploads in a single folder.

    Now my question is,
    1) If I un-check it, will all media files that are currently organized by year/month folders be re-organized in a single folder? (Hence changing the URL for each media)
    2) What happens to the media that are currently embedded to the blog posts with the link that includes year/month structure? Will it automatically get replaced by new links?
