Upload Folder @ 777 -> dangerous?

    Hi there

    Last week as I have published a new post on my site, all gone good.
    Today as I wrot a article, and I try to upload a image the image dont appear, I only received a red cross.

    I saw a article in the web that I have to change the data attributes of the uplao folder @ 777. As I have done that,
    everything went fine.

    Now Im asking is it may be dangerous that I have changed the attributes @ 777 of the upload folder?
