 * Hello,
 * We are trying to upload images for our blog – but for some reason, we’ve encountered
   an error. We’ve always been able to upload files but have never come across a
   similar error. This one says the maximum file size is 64 bytes?
 * “exceeds the maximum upload size for this site.
    Maximum upload file size: 64
   B.”
 * Do you know if this is a glitch or if WordPress is working on a solution?
 * Many thanks,
 * Noah

 * I’ll be that’s a typo — someone meant to type MB and typed B instead. What a
   difference an “M” makes.
 * WordPress does not set the max upload size; this is a PHP / host setting.
 * See [http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/](http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-upload-size-in-wordpress/)
   for info on how to correct it.

 * Hello,
 * Even if it is a typo, I was trying to upload a <2Mb file at the time when the
   error occurred.
 * Why would this be occurring?

 * **64B **is probably larger than the file you were trying to upload. You ned to
   find where it’s set to 64B and change that to something larger.

 * 64 bytes is definetly smaller than files we upload. I am now in the media settings.
   Perhaps either if I resize the image to less than 650 pixels by 400 px then it
   will upload, or increase those settings.

 * YOU HAVE TO FIX THE SETTINGS where it’s set to 64 Bytes. There’s no way around
   that.

 * Something seems wrong.
 * I am trying to upload small files (ie <2MB)
 * I can see that in the settings the largest file should be 650×400 pix.
 * The image I’m trying to upload has smaller dimensions.
 * not sure if we somehow need to delete Media Library files, but this error is
   new. Not sure what the solution is here. Increasing the file transfer size doesn’t
   seem to make sense.

 * nothing is wrong. Please read what you wrote and what I wrote.
 * Your server is set to accept only 64 Byte uploads. **64 bytes.**
 * You are trying to upload files **larger** than 64 bytes.
 * You have to fix the settings.

 * Hi Steve,
 * Your general assessment was fair and correct.
 * It turns out that we had adjusted some settings on the server late last week,
   and in investigating the problem, before calling the hosting company, I asked
   around and was able to increase the settings from “64” on the server to “64M”.“
   What a difference an “M” makes.”
 * Thank you very much for the helpful feedback, something was wrong, but between
   the three of us we were able to walk through it.
 * Many thanks!
