Another problem came to my attention after I upgraded to 2.7: my Feedburner RSS feed has some encoding problems although before it was working fine.
I’m writing in French so I’m using UTF-8 in the options for pages and RSS. When I try to validate my feed, I have this error – which might be the cause of the trouble:
* line 114, column 42: ‘utf8’ codec can’t decode bytes in position 5798-5800: invalid data (maybe a high-bit character?) [help]
In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
* line 112, column 29: category contains bad characters (2 occurrences) [help]
* line 114, column 28: Encode “&” and “<” in plain text using hexadecimal character references. [help]
Feed and results to be seen at : http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kreestal.fr%2Ffeed%2F
Once again, before the upgrade it was working fine and the accentuated caracters didn’t cause any problem. Moreover, my Feedburner feed is showing the default feed presentation in Firefox, although it used to use the Feedburner template before the upgrade.
On WordPress-FR forums, it seems some guy did have a similar problem while testing 2.7 beta 1 and beta 5. But he didn’t precise how it got fixed.
Any help please? Thanks *a lot* in advance.
