    Hi all,

I have an Ubuntu 10.04LTS server that I recently switched from Apache to nginx. Now, when I go to upgrade my plugins (and WordPress itself), I no longer see the SSH2 option to upgrade via. I keep FTP disabled on this site normally.

In the past, I used this guide to configure the site for SSH2-based upgrades: http://www.jonathan.vc/wordpress-install-upgrade-ssh.html

Now, with nginx / php5-fpm, it no longer works.

Does anyone know what I need to install or configure? My php.ini file does have the extension=ssh2.so line in it.

    Thanks!
    Mike

Apache’s php.ini is separate from the cgi version of that file. Can you confirm via <?php phpinfo() ?> that that’s enabled for your new instance of php5-fpm?

    Thank you so much Jan!!

It turns out I had extension=ssh2.so in the wrong php.ini file (the one that Apache had been using), but not the one in the fpm folder.

    Thanks again!
