I am trying to upgrade from 2.6.5 to 2.7 and I am following the proper procedures. But I am facing this strange problem that I haven’t found anybody else has faced. When I am trying to upload the new 2.7 wp files to my server using filezilla all the files gets uploaded except 30 files. I hv tried deleting all files and uploading again and again but those 30 files just can not be uploaded. Pls help as I can’t even proceed to installation steps if I can’t upload all the files properly.

  • Hi BlackMamba88 🙂

Did Filezilla report any error on those files?

Note the name of those 30 files => upload just one of those files => was it successful?

No, filezilla didn’t report any error at all. And I hv tried to upload those files one by one. I also tried to upload them with my file manager uploader in cPanel in case filezilla was wrong, didn’t work at all.

And the main prob is those files are not all the same file type. Some of them are .php , .js etc. SO that tells me its not a prob with a specific file type. Please help guys.

Check if you have enough free disk space?

Else ask your host for assistance. They can download WordPress to your account and unzip it for you.

did you get about this bug in filezilla 3.1.5.1?

    see: http://webdesign.go41.de/news/wordpress-grafischer-editor-geht-nicht-wegen-filezilla-bug/

It didn’t ftp quite a lot of sub-folders, very quickly they had a improved beta and now there is 3.1.6

    This could be your problem?!
