# Upgrading to 2.6.1?

 * Hi guys,
 * I have no idea which version of WordPress I’m using, but when I go to /upgrade.
   php, it tells me it’s upgraded, yet when I return to the dashboard, it’s still
   the same old WordPress.
 * Am I going to completely obliterate my WordPress if I reinstall the latest version
   of WordPress over the top of my current version?

   number you are using is shown in the footer.

 * Not if he needs to upgrade. Rather just visit the blog and look for the “generator”
   information in the source.
