Upgrading to 2.5.1 using simple scripts

    I want to upgrade to 2.5.1 using a CPanel tool called Simple Scripts. It will automatically install 2.5.1, but will it overwrite everything on my blog (settings, theme, content etc.) meaning I have a blank empty default themed blog, or will it just update wordpress and leave everything as it is.

    Backup everything to be on the safe side.

    Did you install WordPress using simplescripts to begin with?

    If you orignally installed WordPress on your site using simplescripts then under your installation should be an option to upgrade.

    If not and you initiate a new install then it could very well wipe out your old info. If you installed WordPress manually then consider using one of the automatic upgrade plugins. I have had great success using this one

    I installed using Fantastico, not Simple Scripts.

    UPDATE: I FOUND AN UPGRADE OPTION ON FANTASTICO. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
