wp2 is still not officially released.
I would wait until it is, and at that point guidance will be given.
* You will not lose the data unless you do not follow the instructions.
* The technique will be listed around the time of the release. It will be similar to previous upgrades. Think of 2.0 as 1.6 if it helps.
so ? is it final ? shud i execute upgrade.php ? how much time will it take ? will there be any data loss ?
Do you think if there was any loss of data would anybody upgrade? If you follow the instructions (see the sticky post on the front page) there shouldn’t be any loss of data,
However, we are always saying: back up your data before doing anything.
It takes longer to upload the new files than the upgrade process itself 🙂
