Upgrading problem, need help please

I tired to setup wordpress in subdirectory when it didn’t work I reverted to orginal dierectory. Now when I tried to upgrade from wordpress 2.0.1 to 2.0.2, and write “htpp://afzaljaved.com/wp-admin”, it takes me to the page which has UPGRADE link but this link instead of directing me to “http://afazaljaved.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php” it takes me to “http://afzaljaved.com/family/wp-admin/upgrade.php” and then it gives me an error message that “page doesn’t exist”. I need to get rid of “Family” subdirectory from above link reference. Please help me to resolve this issue. Its taking my lot of time bu taking me nowhere.
