Upgrading Plugins

    When I upgrade a plugin – should I just replace ALL plugin files?

    I just had a thought: do pluging ever change files within their own directories?
    Like setting files or something?
    If I just over wrote, then these setting smight get over written?

    The files and the data are separate. Why not just automatically upgrade from admin instead of uploading? Is it a custom plugin?

    aaah… well that was another question i had
    i’d like to do this

    question: why does automatic upgrading sometimes fail?

    it seems to be hit and miss for me – it’s ok for some plugins and not ok for others

    is this a common problem?
