Moving Adrotate from 3.7.4.2 to latest has started a scenario where new ads can’t be set because the dates are always 01-01-1970. Saving just puts the ads in the red ‘Configuration errors’ list. No dates can be edited on existing ads either, the date always resets to 1970. Luckily i’m testing locally at the moment or i would be looking elsewhere.

The PHP log is showing WordPress database error Unknown column 'wp_adrotate_linkmeta.bloc and numerous others.

What is the safest way to bring an installation of Adrotate up to the latest version?
We don’t want to loose all the click data by starting afresh or be stuck with an out of date plugin just because it works.

Update to version 4.0 first, then to the latest version.
That has worked for many people.

Make sure you have a backup before each update step.

Ofcourse having updated over the last 5 years or so would have prevented this 😉
