  • I’ve been trying to upgrade from 2.1.1 :

    -Downloaded 2.2
-deleted the wordpress folder in my root directory
-uploaded new worpdress folder in my root directory
    -went to mysite.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php
    -upgraded

-but still nothing. And when i go back to upgrade again…wp tells me there is nothing to upgrade.

    What exactly am I missing?

    Thanks!!

  • Well you shouldn’t have deleted the wordpress directory completely. You would need your original wp-config.php file.

    Michael,

I do have a wp-config file still in my root directory that’s been there since my first installation. So, I think that is the original.

If your WordPress files are in a folder called wordpress then that wordpress folder is where your wp-config.php file should be.
