    Hi,

I have been using wp-portfolio for about two years. I upgraded last week to WP 4.0 and now something is wrong. I am using wp-portfolio v1.38. When I click on the page that is supposed to display a list of the portfolio sites, I get an error:

The system cannot find the file specified. Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

In WP-Porfolio control panel the portfolio web site sites are listed and one of the two custom screenshot thumbnails are showing. I don’t know why the one thumbnail is not displaying in the control panel; it comes up when I click view. The description and links are accurate in the editor.

I forced a table upgrade, but no help.

I tried deleting and recreating the page in wordpress, but that did not help. I am at a lost as to where this error is coming from or why it is appearing.

    I am self-hosting on a windows server 2003 running IIS 6.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,

We are unable to reproduce your error. Our WP4.0 installs are working fine with the v1.38 plugin release.

Are there any errors in the WP-Portfolio -> Error Logs?

My initial suggestion is to install BlackBox Debug Bar and see if that yields any errors or information that might pinpoint the cause of the problem (assuming it will work on the published page).

    Thank you for the reply.

When I tried to view the WP-Portfolio Error Logs, I get the following returned error:

The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Does that give any suggestion of where the problem may be?

I should note that I did a manual upgrade to WP 4.0, in case that may give a clue of where the breakdown is occurring.

Sorry but it doesn’t mean anything to me. 🙁

If your manual upgrade is working otherwise (i.e. other plugins and rest of site is working), then it should be working. We have WP4.0 test sites that are working fine.

I think we will have to have a WP expert take a look at it. If you have a ShrinkTheWeb account, the easiest way for us to trade FTP and access information securely is for you to open a support ticket. We can go from there and then post any solution found back here for the benefit of others.

If you do not have a ShrinkTheWeb account, then please email us directly via: help [@] shrinktheweb.com. That will open a ticket directly into the system.

    Hi Puravida

I sent you an email … did we open up a ticket? I have not heard back yet.

    Hi,

No, it didn’t work. At least no new ticket opened up for you. Sorry. I thought an email would do it. I guess you need to sign up for an account and open a ticket. You can just cancel the account once we’re done (to avoid receiving our newsletter and announcements).

Let me know if you have any trouble.
